To keep the attention of today's martial arts movie fans, directors have had to resort to actors doing some of the craziest stunts ever, in many cases with weapons that are just objects in the room around them. The days of one-on-one, straight fist fighting has been overplayed. The Samurai Hip-Hop collection from Sonivox was born out of this same thinking. These audio loops were designed for DJs and producers who make music for the streets and the radio, but don't want the same ol', same ol'.
The Sonivox Samurai library is an arsenal of ingredients from the many nuances of global hip-hop culture that will make you and your music stand out. Whether you want to create MC-friendly beats or you're looking to break the boundaries and make music that is otherworldly, the producers behind this loop collection went out of their way to compile eccentric sounds, including vintage analog instruments; butchered synthesis algorithms; a room full of instruments and funky, noisy tools in the middle of the Swiss Alps; a 300-year old untunable piano; and smokey guitar sessions in London and Milan. All of these sounds were collected and compiled at Arc-Tek Studios by Memory9, a rising mash-up star of the London underground can be easily manipulated and mangled.
