Impressive Line Array Speakers from Peavey! The Peavey VersArray 112 Ribbon-Driver Line Array utilizes a high-performance, lightweight 12" Neo Black Widow woofer featuring a dual 4" flat wound voice coil with a neodymium magnet structure in a 13-ply Baltic birch enclosure. The VersArray 112 offers extreme versatility and performance in modular coverage of small- to medium-sized venues and is intended for use with VersArray 118 or 218 subs. Sound Guard, Peavey's proprietary protection circuitry, provides long- and medium-term driver overload protection without impairing musical transients or dynamics. The VersArray 112 delivers clean sound in a surprisingly small package! When we stepped out of our office, we were about 300 feet away and totally off-axis to the speakers. The sound was clear and clean, and you could feel the bass in your chest, even at that distance. We were intrigued, so we walked down for a closer look. The rig was made up of a total of six VersArray 112s and four subwoofer (the single-speaker VersArray 118 subwoofer is also available). From a distance the music sounded great and up close it was loud, but not too loud, with the same clarity we had heard from 300 feet away. With a very small number of speakers (and the speakers are pretty small, too) and handful of subwoofers, the VersArray system filled the air with great-sounding music with a non-intrusive setup. Easy Setup and TransportThe VersArray 112 cabinet weighs in at 53 pounds, making them easy to move around and set up by yourself. If you're running a portable live sound company, the VersArray is a great way to go. When it's torn down and loaded into a truck, the entire system hardly takes up any space, including subwoofers, line array boxes, and mounting hardware. With the amount of sound put out by a VersArray system, you won't believe how easy it is to transport. Variety of Mounting OptionsVersArray Series enclosure modules utilize special bracket and pin flying hardware, a highly flexible, easy-to-rig system that allows full articulation of up to 18 top boxes. With this rigging system, users can adjust two boxes away from each other in 2.5-degree increments from 0 to 15 degrees, providing for a classic line array configuration or a number of angling options. A crankable tower lift, the VersaLift co-designed with Vermette and available as an accessory can elevate up to six top boxes 13 feet above a 218 Sub, then fold down for easy transport and storage.
